Steam Summer Sale 2012 Top Recommended Day VIII

Day VIII makes its way into our wallets today, so what should you look for? Here are my top recommendations for today:

  • Amnesia: The Dark Descent - Are you looking for a game that will make you fear the dark? Look no further than Amnesia. This first person survival horror story, set in the horrifically atmospheric setting of a desolate castle, with no memory of how you arrived here. Explore the dark and seemingly haunted hallways as you uncover the unsettling and disturbing reason truth of the castle, and yourself. With danger lurking around every corner, and no real way of defending yourself, can you survive? This game is a must play, and can only be truly experienced in the dark, with headphones, alone.
  • The Witcher 1 & 2 - These RPG giants are games that take the RPG genre to another level. Follow the long and bloody story of Geralt of Rivia, an unparalleled swordsman and professional monster slayer. This fantasy story explores a more mature side of the genre, where corruption and genocide are not unheard of. Explore the world of the Witcher!
  • Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 - These two co-op action horror games are to die for. Set in the Zombie Apocalypse, follow 4 survivors as they make their way through countless hordes of zombies. With tons of completely different scenarios, grab some friends and take on hundreds upon hundreds of terrifying zombies and mutants. Surviving has never been so fun.
  • BIT.TRIP Collection - Containing both BIT.TRIP RUNNER and BIT.TRIP BEAT, explore a colorful world of lights and sounds that make you reminisce of the Golden Age of gaming. Both games are based around interesting audio and visuals, and as the name suggests, send you on a BIT.TRIP. Download and enjoy today!
Lots of collections today, and unfortunately, nothing I can recommend in the latest indie bundle. Not that there isn't anything good, I'm just not familiar with the games. A lot of games I've recommended in the past are also on a deeper discount, like Plants vs. Zombies, Alan Wake series, and more, so go ahead and check out the store.

Leave your comments, concerns, and suggestions for future topics in the comment section, and as always, thanks for reading, stay tuned, and stay sweet! :)
